  1. It was a rough day in the month of May about the year 1929 when a great blase was seen in the garden of John Cunningham. The hay was dry and it was easy to burn it. The street and garden was soon filled with people coming from every side but the were not able to quench it so it was let burd out. It was not known who burned it. Some people said that it was their own children who burned it when they were carrying out lighted sticks in the garden.
