  1. When we see the cat washing his face is the sign of rain. To see the cat having its back to the fire is the sign of snow. When you hear the wind whistling around the house is a sign of rain. When we see the swallows flying high it is the sign of good weather. When we have had weather and hear thunder it is the sign for good weather. When the hearth-stone is hot it is the sign of bad weather. To see a ring around the moon that is the sign of good weather.
