  1. Not far from Dunmore there is the ruins of an old Castle. Beside the Castle there is a crock of gold hidden and that there is a big black cat minding it, and nobody could get the crock of gold from the cat because when they try to raise the flag under which the gold is it is said that the cat would jump on your face, and scratch you severly except at the consecration of Mass when he would be asleep
