  1. This is the way they made skib or baskets long ago in Ireland. They pulled the rods off sally bushes and put them into a boiler and boiled them for a half an hour. Then they took them up and left them cool. They peeled the skin off then if they were making baskets for clothes. I saw my father making one and it took him a whole evening to finish it
