  1. There is an old "lios" or fort in the townland of Castle Farm next village to Clooneen. It is generally known that the owner would never remain too late at work there. Neither would he go out too early in the morning. A neighbour asked him the reason of his reluctance to being at work there at reasonable hours and he informed him that one morning he went out at day-break to start ploughing near this "lios" and a friend of his who was dead for years appeared to him
