    of this by a man named Michael Rhatigan of Clover (now deceased).
    The sufferer was placed sitting on a chair while the doctor went behind the chair and began to examine the hairs on the back of the head until he had found the particular one he was searching for. Then, without warning he gives a sudden tug and brings this hair out by the root. The pain is said to be terrible, and the patient is almost lifted off the chair, but a cure is effected. They say that there is only one hair on the head that has this virtue.
