    Noonan said that his sister, Mrs Mee, Knickaams, Glenamaddy, Galway, became very ill on the tenth day after her confinement.

    The turkey began to cackle and he asked her to speak so that he could understand her. He could not understand the turkey when she again began to cackle. As he was in a great hurry, he went his way but the turkey followed him no farther. His sister died that night and as Noonan was passing along in her funeral he saw the turkey's feathers in the exact place where he had questioned it.
