I am an exiled Irish man ¶ Far away from home

    (continued from previous page)
    my heart now sinking wearily.
    Beneath misfortunes load
Would bound it again in youthful love
    In dear old Galway Road.
The author of this poem was Dr. Huban who was a great ballad composer and an Irish patriot and fought in '98 only to be transported to the island of Columbia where he composed this song.
