    There was a landlord in Roxboro . . .

    He had an agent in Loughrea called "Tanner". He evicted many people also in a place called "Caphard"(near Peterswell, Gort, Co. Galway) there was a land lord called " Daulphon". A land lord called Clancarty owned all Ballacurra. Another land lord called Clanricard lived in Coorhun.

    Major Perfse was the land lord of the Kilchreest village . . .

    Major Perfse was the land lord of the Kilchreest village and of eleven thousand acres. His family was there for generations. The first Perfse that came to this place was a friar, he became a protestant and got Roxboro from Cromwell. He enlarged his estates by evictions.
    One person that was evicted was Belle Meheren and her rent was seven grains of pepper in the year and to this day it
