On May morning the cows are kept within because it is said that on that day people take away the milk.
When a cow dies her legs are cut off and hung in the cow house so that any other one of the cows would not get the same disease, and in some other cases the horns are cut off and hanged up in the cabin in order that the cows that would follow would be lucky.
