  1. We believe that when we see the cat sitting with his back to the fire rain is coming.
When a cat is seen scraping wood it is a sign of stormy wet weather.
Blue flames in the fire are also a sign of rain.
When swallows fly low it is a sign of wet weather and when seagulls come inland it is a sure sign of stormy weather.
When the smoke goes up straight from the chimney it is the sign of fine weather.
When midges are plentiful in the evening it is a sure sign of rain.
When theres a ring around the moon we can expect rain.
When there's are a great deal of rays coming from the sun it also signifies rain.
When the mountains look near we can expect rain in this district.
When frogs are croaking in the evening rain is coming.
