  1. I have a churn at home. It is a foot and a half high, and a foot and two inches wide at the top and bottom. It rests on a stand and is ten years old. The various parts of it are the dash, the handle, the screw, the lid, and the cork. In summer we churn three times a week, and in winter only once because milk is scarce.
    My Mother and grownup sister do the churning. Strangers help when they are there or else they would bring the butter from the people it is said. When churning
