  1. There are two local roads in this district of Gantry, one is called the Ganty road and the other the Kilconieron one. The Ganty road leads from Cruaghwell to the Ganty school and thence to Dunsandle cross. You turn to the right there to go to the town of Loughrea and to the left go to Athenry. There is a hill in it, and it is called "Cnoc na Muc", it is said that long ago, a pig carried a man in her mouth from Dunsandle to this hill and let him fall at the top of the hill and then disappeared. And it is called
