- There was a man coming out from Issercleran one night about two o'clock when he saw a big black dog and a big chain a-round his neck. The dog was getting bigger and the chain was about as thick as the trunk of a tree. The dog ran after him until the man crossed a river and the dog dis-appeared.
And the man went home and he never got out of his bed after that night until he died.
