There was a man in the Co. of Mayo long ago and when anything would be gone on him he would say that the fairies brought it. One morning he found that his cow was gone and he found an old dead cow in her place but he did nothing but to pray.
The next morning when he came to the same place he saw his own cow at the gap of an old Dun that was in the place. He caught a big stick that was in the ground and he ran to the cow and he caught her by the tail.
The cow ran in in the dun but the man kept her by the tail. He went all through the dun but he would not let the cow go until he brought her home with him.
