    An ordinary toothache can be cured by rubbing a snail on the affected tooth.
    Warts may be cured by making the sign of the cross on them with your spittle (before breaking your fast in the morning). You must make the sign of the Cross on them three times each morning for nine mornings.
    A thorn may be removed with a fox's tongue.

  2. If a knife falls from the table there is a visitor (man) coming in the house
    If a fork falls from the table there is a woman visitor coming to the house
    If a spoon falls from the table there will be a disappointment for the person who lets it fall
    If you meet a red-haired woman when going to the fair and if she is the first person you meet you should return home and not go to the fair as you will meet with bad luck there.
