  1. A young child that would have the whooping cough the cure was to put the child under the stomach of a white horse. The people used to go down to Saint Augustines well on the last Sunday in the month of August. They wash their eyes in it. Although the salt water goes over the well the water still remains fresh. Another cure was to swallow a live frog. The name of this sickness was malana fever. It was got in foreign countries. A person that would blow into their mouth on three different occasions that person never saw its father
