    Children collect flowers on May Eve and tie them to a furze bush which is then planted in the garden. They call this the "May Pole".

    On Christmas Eve the people light candles in every window, so that if a stranger were coming the would find their way to the house. It is also a custom to leave the door open all night, to welcome the holy family. if they were round.
