    The sides of it are round. The parts of it are the dash, handle, lid, clasp and the key. My mother that usually churns. When a stranger comes in he helps because it is an old custom. When the butter is churned it gathers into lumps. There is water put in it then and the butter is taken out with a little wooden scoop. It is then washed in clear water and salted. It is made up with patters.
