- There is about two acres of our land sown each year with potatoes. We always sow the same amount. We don't put any manure on the land before ploughing but some people do. The potatoes are in drills and the drills are made with a plough. The land is ploughed first. Then it is harrowed and it is rolled and harrowed again. The drill(continues on next page)
