    Marriage Customs
Long ago when the people were getting married they used not go to the Church. They used be married in the girl's house. There used be a crowd of people gathered and they used have great feasting and merrymaking. When the day would be spent in the girl's house the married couple would go on horse back to the man's house. The lady would sit behind the man on a pillion. When they would reach the man's house there would be bonfires and large crowds of people welcoming them. There would be dancing and merrymaking all through the night. There used be a piper playing for them.
