    they sold in districts near them for a few shillings. There is a man in Killure named Hugh McLoughlin who made a large number of baskets at that time. Hugh got help from a man Michael Donnellan who was also able to make baskets. They got the rods to make the baskets in a field which is occupied by a man named William Dillon. First they spent a week cutting the rods and then they made the baskets. They made different kinds of baskets. They sold the baskets in Killure for 1/6 each.
