    A Story
Some years there lived in Gallagh a landlord named Ó Murphy. This landlord owed a lot of land. He used to have a large number of men working for him on the land. Every Saturday evening when whey would be going home to their own little houses he would give them five pence and a bag of sticks for the fire.
That was the wages he used to give them for their weeks work. There was also a large wood round the place where they got the sticks.
