  1. Diseases - The Cleheen and Thrawlagh
    There is a very old cure for the Cleheen. It is performed in this way by getting a glass tumbler and placing it on the bone. Six rushes are then got and the tops of them are lighted. They are placed under the glass. A prayer is then said and after some time the glass is raised and the bone is raised with it. This was thought an infallible cure in olden times. There are old people in this district that can cure this disease. "Thrawlagh."
    The cure for thrawlagh is the skin of an eel applied to the wrist very tightly with a bandage and
