  1. Animals on the Farm at Home
The animals on our farm are:- horses; sheep; pigs and calves. We have four horses; about one hundred and fifty cattle; about five hundred sheep; two pigs and five calves.
We have four milch cows. The names of the cows are :"Polly"; "Whitehead" and "Red".
This is the way we tie the cows at home. A oval shaped piece of iron with a clasp at the top is put round the cow's head and fastened at the top. This is fastened to the manger by means of a chain. The house in which cows sleep is called a "cow house".
