- Signs of the weather from hills and mountains, rivers, water, rocks dust and noise.
1. If the hills that are far away look near that is a sign of rain.
2. If you hear the noise of a river a great distance away from you, that is a sign of frost.
3. If the rocks dazzle on a sunny day that is a sign of rain.
4. If the dust rises off the road that is a sign of thunder.
5. If you hear the noise of a train at a long distance it foretells good or bad weather. If it makes a rattling noise it foretells rain, but if it runs smoothly along it foretells good weather.- Collector
