  1. 1. When a person has a toothache, a great cure for it is to take a smoke of a pipe.
    2. Another cure is to bite a frog and knock three screeches out of him.
    3. Another cure is to rub a finger of a dead person on to the tooth, this kills the pain.
    4. A cure for chin cough is to put a frog down into a tin can and leave him there until he dies and then drink the water.
    5. The best cure for a whittle is to get a bandage and put two snails into it, as they soak all the soreness away.
    6. A cure for warts is to stick down your hand in the water after the blacksmith uses it at the forge.
    7. Another cure is to rub dry washing soda if them, as it wears them down to a thread.
    8. Cure for a boil is to buise sugar to dust and stick it on to soap to make a plaster, and put it on a white cloth and apply.
