  1. At the time that the Abbeytown Nunnery
    It was St Francis that blessed and consecrated the ground on which the church was built and to Killamonagh he first came and stood on a hill below the village where they call it the Lisheen
    And he stood there for some time waiting to see would that be the ground which he would consecrate and bless
    When the tone of the Angelus Bell rang over him twice, he knew then when the bell did not ring thrice times that he would have to go onwards towards the south until he went above the village of Killammoyle
    There he found another hill and stood there and the Angelus Bell had not rung over him but once and then he knew that he would have to go further until he went above
