  1. Liosanna
    There is a big lios in our village and it is surrounded by big high banks of earth. There are furze around it and a bush in the middle.
    It is said that there are fairies in it and that it is there they live.
    There is a big stone about twelve yards out from it and it is said it is the hall door of the fairies house.
    One morning a woman was going to Tuam at about two oclock selling butter. When she came as far as Burkes garden she saw a man standing at a gap near the hill and he asked her where she was going and she said she was going to Tuam selling butter and he told her to come in and he would buy the butter from her. He brought her to the hall door.
