  1. There was once a man in Beaghbeg and he went to Woodquay to a wedding. The people of the house wanted to keep him at the wedding house that night but he would not wait. On his way home he had to pass a big clash and as he was passing it two small women came out of it and began to walk one each side of him.
When he reached his own house his father lit a candle and when he saw the light he fell on the floor. The people of the house send for the doctor and when he came he said he could not do anything for him that it was a priest's case. Then they sent for the priest and when he came he said that prayers over him. After a while a big cat came up through the floor. The priest gave the cat a kick and he went out the door in flames of fire.
