the evening and he began walking up and down where he was going to do the work. At last a fox came to him and asked him what was the trouble. Pádhraig said that he had to make a river from one pond to the other and if he would not have it done his master would cut his head off. The fox rubbed his paws on the ground and in a moment the finest river ever seen was made. The master was very proud and he gave Pádhraig his daughter in marriage. Pádhraig his mother and wife lived happily together ever after.
