    They told him to bring home the money or if he wouldn’t, he himself not to come home. But when he was coming home he went into Hynes’ again and the men were card-playing. They asked Donal would he come card-playing and he said he wouldn’t that he was told if he wouldn’t bring home the money he himself not to come home. The men said that he might win all he lost the night before. Donal went card-playing and he lost all the money again. Then he played the horse and cart and he lost them. Home he went and he said he was going away. His mother gave him a cake and off he went. He kept walking until evening. He saw an old man coming along the road
