  1. In Clonarl a man was quarrying in a gentle place and the white mice started to come out. At last they were running up the crowbar and he had to stop. Then he looked round and he saw the cornstack covered with crows and he went to fire at them and he shot the thumb off himself. The mice turned themselves into crows to take him away from the place.
