  1. There was once a very poor man. One day as he was sitting by the fire a little woman came in. She asked for a piece of bread. The fairy woman told him to come to a rock on the side of the hill every day. She told him that there was a hole in the rock and to put in his hand and he would get half-a-crown but not to tell the secret to anymore.
The man went to the rock every day and he got the half-a-crown.
One day as he was coming home he got drunk and he told the secret. He went back to the rock several times after that but he never got the half-crown.
