  1. There is a well in Larahirl known as Jane's well. It is situated in the middle of a field and for ? purposes this was a great loss. Long ago a man named McEldowney owned this farm and he thought that he would close this well.
Shortly after this there was a child born in the house and it could not see or speak. One day a tramp came into the house and he noticed how quiet the child was for in most of places he said the children were very noisy. The woman of the house said I would give a lot that the child was noisy. It can neither speak or see.
It is very strange that a child like that could not be able to speak. Did you people interfere with anything gentle. Immediately the woman thought of closing the well. Next morning the man opened the well and the child was alright. This well is still to be seen.
