  1. Many years ago two families lived in Moville. Their names were Doherty and McLaughlin. Mr and Mrs McLaughlin were very rich, and Mrs and Mr Doherty were very poor and had five children and Mrs McLaughlin had only one, and they lived in a grand large house. The ruins of which are still to be seen. One Sunday afternoon Mrs Doherty was the path and Mrs McLaughlin said that is the sow and her litter of pigs. So the next baby she had it had a pigs head. So her father said anyone who would marry her he would give a hundred pounds and a dwelling house. But when anyone saw her they ran away very much frightened. So from that day till the day she died she never injured the poor.
