  1. There is supposed to be a crock of gold hidden on Anthony McNulty's farm Rooskey Foxford Co Mayo. It is hidden under a whitethorn tree but there are no thorns on the tree. It is said that the fairies hid it there long ago and no one can find it unless they dream three times about it and in the dreams they will see how to get it. If they try to get it without dreaming they will get nothing only scrapes of the bush and in the end they will have to give in altogether
There is supposed to be gold hidden in a rock on Spink Mountain over Rooskey and that a part of the Rock slides back when it is touched revealing a deep cavity and in there the gold is stored away and has not yet been found
