  1. Local Cures. A cure for a sprain is, boil marshmallow and bathe the sprain with the water of the marshmallow. A sure for a toothache is either lick a frog or chew tobacco. Collected by Matt McGuiness, Belcamp, Raheny, Co. Dublin. 8-4-38. If you put a piece of straw on a wart it will cure it. If you lick a frog it will cure a toothache. If you creep under anass about three times it will cure the Chicken Pock. Collected by Charles Hoysted, Clonshough, Santry, Co Dublin. 4-4-38
