    The "Cock" field is at the side of Clonshough school and it got its name from an inn which was near the field and the inn was called "The Cock and Rabbit Inn"

    The Robber's Bank, about a quarter of a mile from Santry is so-called because many robberies took place there. The famous Captain O'Dare and many other highwaymen staged many a hold-up near the Robber's Bank.
    The Fairies' Grove on Mr. William Murphy's farm got its name because it is supposed to be inhabited by fairies.
    The Bare Bones on Mr. Wilson's farm is so-called because there is never any grass in it. The only bit of grass there is, is
