- Crowl's Castle.
In olden times there was a place in Swords called Crowl's Castle and the man who owned it carried on the dairy business but one evening when they went to milk the cows they were all milked. The next evening they kept watch and what did they see but a witch sucking the cows.
Told by my father to me,

This witch hare was on a farm down near Donabate and she used to inhabit the ruins of an old dwelling house. Men came with greyhounds from all over the country to course her day after day and she would escape into- Collector
