    There was once a man who lived in a big house in this district, and he had a son. He insisted on his son being a Catholic because he himself was a Protestant. He put his son out of the house and told him not to come inside his gate again. The son answering said "So shall it be that you shall never come out through it." When the father died the son would not let the coffin be brought throuhg the gate, and it had to be taken through the wall. That is why that certain place is called the "Hole in the Wall."
