  1. Fairy Forts
    April 1938
    There was a Fairy Fort which was in Burrow Field. Not long ago many sculls were there. Among these there was a beautiful set of teeth. It is said that after the battle of Clontarf many soldiers were shot and buried there so that is how sculls were found on the hill.
    There is also another Fairy Fort just behind Kilbarrack Cemetary. It is said that a certain man was going home at night and he saw the fairies dancing around the hill and afterwards they disappeared.
