    There are many riddles which I hear my people saying, some of which I am now going to say.
    Why is a tidy class-room like the letter D. Because they are both in order.
    Why is the telephone like a good child.
    It only speaks when spoken to.
    Why is the umbrella's life a rough one.
    It has so many ups and downs.
    What has four legs and only one foot.
    A bed.
    What has twelve wings but cannot fly.
    Twelve pennies.
    What has an eye but cannot see.
    A needle.
