  1. For a bad cut put lard mixed with lime.
    For a Cough
    Put 4 eggs in a basin. Pour over them the juice of four lemons. Leave for 24 hrs. Beat up shells and all and strain. Put in 1/2 lb. of sugar candy and over all 1/2 pint of rum. Take half a wine glass full first thing every morning.
    For bleeding finger.
    Put St. Patrick's leaf around it.
    For a cough
    Put sliced sivede turnips into an eathen ware vessel, cover with brown sugar and leave for 24 hours. Drink some of the huice when the cough is troublesome.
    For discolouration of the skin
    Put sap of potatoes to it.
    Weather
    When a donkey goes to the top of a hill it is a sign of fine weather.
