There is a clump in Kilmartin and it is said that Saint Martin founded a church on the top of it. The foundation of this church still remains.About fifteen yards from the clump there is an(d) old unused graveyard. About two years ago there were human bones dug up out of the earth there. Some people say that Kilmartin is called after the church. It is said that a tram once ran to Kilmartin. It was known as The Kilmartin Tram and travelled along the old road that runs from the Murdering Hole to Kilmartin
