  1. Get a small piece of lard and a teaspoonful of salt and mix them together, to form an onitment. Rub this ointment on the chilblains for three mornings and then they will be cured.

  2. Rub suet already rendered on the chilblains for three nights before retiring. The sight juice that remains in the suet when rubbed on the chilblains will cure them.
