  1. There is a place in Donabate called Harvey's Cross. Soldiers are here at night about 12 o'clock.
    One time a man and his son were stopping at this cross. The first night they heard footsteps going around the caravan and the second night the same. But the third night the man got up and watched.
    He lit the candle and put it to one side of the window so as to see out the window into the darkness. Just as the foot steps went by the man looked out, and outside he saw the soldier. He fell back into the bed and nearly killed his son.
