    Milk in which wild celery is boiled will cure boils. A cure for a cold is to get a bottle of stout, and boil it on new milk and drink it.

    An old cure for the fellon is (the fellon comes likes a boil although it is not a boil.) the cure for it is, to get herbs, such as, brownsworth, wild celery, and feather few, put water on them and boil them all together, and drink the water of it when boiled.
    The cure for a cold is, to drink boiled butter-milk, with butter and sugar in it.
    A cure for a sore throat is to put roasted salt or roasted fat bacon to the throat.
    A cure for a whittle is, to dip your finger in water that potatoes had been boiling in.
