  1. Festival customs
On St Stephens day boys or men gather and dress themselves up in old clothes and go from house to house singing. The song of the wren.
    Here is the song,
The wren, the wren, the king of the birds
On St Stephen's day she was caught in the furze
although she is small her family is great
So cheer up ladies and give us a treat.
The money gathered is divided up among them so each of them gets his share.
There are more feast days. St Brigid's day, St Patrick's day, Shrove Tuesday
