  1. The Potato Crop
    We have potatoes growing in our garden which is about two acres in size, but they are nearly all used up. My father prepares the land. First of all he opens the ground with a plough and then he opens out drills and puts manure between them. Then he gets ready the seed, by cutting the big potatoes so that he would leave only one eye on each part. Then he puts the seed on the manure and close in the drills.
